Terms of Service

To rent and operate a vehicle through FlexRide, all primary and additional drivers must meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 21 years of age at the time of reservation.
• Possess a valid, unexpired Nigerian Driver's License or a recognized International Driving Permit (IDP) with at least 1 year of driving experience.
• Present a valid government-issued photo ID (National ID, International Passport, or Voter's Card) during key handover.
• Maintain an active phone number and verifiable email address for booking communications.

FlexRide facilitates bookings on an instant-reservation basis:

• Soft-Reserved:When selecting a vehicle, a temporary hold (“soft reservation”) is placed to ensure vehicle availability while payment details and identity verification are completed.
• Confirmed Booking: A reservation is fully confirmed only after payment authorization and security verification have succeeded. You will receive an instant booking voucher via email.
• Vehicles are subject to availability. In the rare event that a reserved vehicle undergoes unscheduled maintenance, FlexRide reserves the right to provide an equivalent or upgraded vehicle category at no extra cost.

All rental rates on FlexRide are quoted transparently in Nigerian Naira (₦) with zero hidden surcharges:

• Rental Rate: Calculated on a 24-hour daily cycle based on your selected pickup and return timestamps.
• Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit is pre-authorized on your card prior to vehicle pickup. The deposit is automatically released within 3–5 business days following return inspection, provided the vehicle meets return standards.
• Additional Charges: Late returns beyond a 60-minute grace period, excess mileage, missing fuel, or severe interior soiling will be itemized and deducted from the deposit with full photographic documentation.

We offer flexible cancellation policies to accommodate changing travel plans:

• Full Refund: Cancellations made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pickup time receive a 100% refund to the original payment method.
• Late Cancellation:Cancellations made within 24 hours of scheduled pickup are subject to a fee equal to 1 day's rental rate.
• No-Show: If the vehicle is not claimed within 3 hours of the scheduled pickup time without prior notice, the reservation is treated as a no-show and is non-refundable.

Renters are expected to operate and treat vehicles with care. The following strict rules apply across all FlexRide vehicles:

• No Smoking: Smoking, vaping, or burning any substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited and incurs an automatic deep-cleaning fee.
• Fuel Policy: Vehicles are handed over with a full or recorded fuel level and must be returned with the same level.
• Mileage Allowance: Standard rentals include 200km per day. Excess mileage is billed at a fixed rate per kilometer as shown on your voucher.
• No Off-Road Driving: Vehicles may only be driven on paved, public roads and designated parking areas. Off-road driving, racing, or towing is strictly forbidden.
• Authorized Drivers Only: Only drivers officially registered and approved on the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

All FlexRide rentals include standard third-party liability insurance and 24/7 nationwide roadside assistance.

In the event of an accident, breakdown, or mechanical alert, the renter must immediately contact FlexRide roadside dispatch (+234 1 888 3539) and report any damage. Willful negligence, driving under the influence, or unauthorized driver operation voids all insurance coverage.

FlexRide reserves the right to modify or update these Terms of Service periodically. Continued use of our rental platform following any updates constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
